Next December, the operation, on an experimental basis, of the cement production plant built in the District of Cimbunila by Chinese contractors, starts in an investment of US$30 million (about US$1.9 billion).
The works, which had been halted for about a year, resumed after the completion of the shareholder restructuring. According to Silvino Bonomar, head of the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy at the Provincial Infrastructure Service Directorate, cited by News, the works are already underway and the assembly of the equipment is in charge of Chinese technicians.
It is in this context that the new shareholders have scheduled for December the start-up of production on an experimental basis. It will have a capacity of 200,000 tons of cement per year.
